QSC's Q-SYS AV-to-USB Bridging Solution Wins 2016 InfoComm Best of Show Award from AV Technology

QSC Headquarters, Costa Mesa, CA (June 22, 2016) – QSC, LLC, is proud to announce its new Q-SYS™ AV-to-USB Bridging solution has received a “Best of Show” 2016 InfoComm Award from AV Technology magazine (NewBay Media). This award recognizes new and outstanding products that solve meaningful problems for tech managers and was awarded at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. Entries were judged by a team of AV experts that evaluated anonymously onsite.

“We are thrilled our new AV/IT solution was recognized with this honor at InfoComm,” said Joe Pham, CEO of QSC. “The AV-to-USB Bridging solution delivers on our promise that the Q-SYS Platform is more than just a DSP. We have now entered the world of video and are providing our customers a complete platform to transform the corporate boardroom experience.”

“The 2016 Best of Show winners were recognized because they truly solve problems rather than create them," stated Margot Douaihy, editorial director of AV Technology. "Ultimately, what separated these products from other solid solutions is that they have a special appeal for AV technology managers and IT directors in increasingly collaborative AV/IT environments. Our community wants to collaborate more efficiently and expediently, and these products help them do that.”

About Q-SYS AV-to-USB Bridging Solution

The new AV-To-USB Bridging solution is fully integrated within the Q-SYS Platform and will change the way you integrate soft-codec enabled and BYOD meeting rooms by leveraging AV/IT streaming technologies to simplify and give back design flexibility. The new solution includes Q-SYS PTZ-IP conference cameras, a Q-SYS I/O-USB Bridging device, and expanded bridging capabilities for Q-SYS tabletop devices.

The AV-to-USB Bridging solution simplifies integration, allowing numerous connections and endpoints. Built for IT convenience, this solution addresses the inherent limitations of using USB in a geographically diverse meeting room. The cameras and bridging perihperals work with Q-SYS Cores to provide:

  • Plug-and-play audio/video feeds to soft codec applications like Skype for Business, GoToMeeting , etc.
  • Control within Q-SYS, streamed on IT-friendly Layer-3 protocol, along with the rest of Q-SYS’s audio and control data.
  • Video and audio streams accessed by the end user’s conferencing application using standard USB 2.0 connection via Q-SYS USB bridging peripherals.
  • Webcam video emulation and AEC speakerphone audio.
