QSC Announces Next Generation Q-SYS™ Enterprise Cores
Significant Processing and Feature Upgrade Combined With Pending Q-SYS Designer V4.0 Software Release Provide Powerful and Compelling Networked Audio Solution
INFOCOMM 2014, LAS VEGAS (June 18, 2014) — QSC Audio Products, LLC is pleased to announce that the next generation of Q-SYS™Enterprise Cores will be available in Summer 2014. Doubling the processing capabilities of the models they supersede (Core 1000 and Core 3000), the new Core 1100 will provide up to 256x network audio Flex-channels and 72x AEC channels using a pair of the latest generation XEON 4-core processors, while the Core 3100 will provide up to 512x512 fixed network audio channels and a whopping 144x AEC channels using a pair of the latest generation XEON 8-core processors. Additional features include super-sized, low-speed fans for maximum front-to-rear airflow with minimal fan noise, and a premium field-serviceable power-supply.
“These next-generation server cores are uniquely suited to manage the extensive audio processing needs in larger deployments such as convention centers, entertainment venues, hospitality settings and transportation facilities,” states TJ Adams, QSC Install DSP Product Manager.
To support these new Enterprise Cores, QSC has just released a major software update - Q-SYS Designer Version 4.0, which will also support other new hardware such as the CXD-Q amplifiers, I/O Frame 8 and the all new TSC-7 POE touchscreen controller. Additionally Q-SYS Designer V4.0 includes many new software features such as Core-to-Core paging which allows individual cores to seamlessly transmit messages across a campus-wide installation, Timeline Playback, plus an all new Dynamic Threshold Auto-mixer for AV Conferencing applications. Also included in this major software release are greater Scripting capabilities as well as enhancements to existing Q-SYS features such as the Notch Feedback Controller, Reverb & Delay Effects, Scheduler, Acoustic Echo Canceller, I/O Monitor and Audio Playback capabilities, which have been augmented to include Fast-Forward, Rewind and Synchronization to LTC and GPS.
