The network loudspeaker shall use a 4.0-inch, paper cone, full-range transducer with a sealed enclosure. The loudspeaker shall have a frequency response of 90 Hz – 20 kHz , +0 /- 10dB. The Maximum SPL output at 1 meter with PoE+ (802.3at) shall be 97 dB continuous and 111 dB peak. It shall have broad-band sensitivity of 90 dB (1 W at 1 m) and conical coverage (-6 dB) of 120°. The network loudspeaker grille shall be round and made of perforated powder coated steel, colored RAL 9010 white. The baffle and back can shall be cylindrical, with captive “dog ear” mounting clamps that accommodate ceiling thicknesses from 5 mm (0.2”) to 55 mm (2.1”). The enclosure shall retain the grille magnetically. Any logo on the grille shall be removable without leaving a blemish. The baffle shall be made of painted ABS plastic and the back can of powder-coated steel with a safety tab to meet seismic codes. The loudspeaker shall be UL2043 listed and safe for use in an air plenum spaces. The loudspeaker shall meet or exceed IP-34 for ingress protection. The network loudspeaker shall require a round cut-out hole of 179 mm or 7.1“ and include tile rails and a C-ring to allow mounting in ceiling tile. The loudspeaker shall weigh 1.6 kg or 3.5 pounds. The conduit cover plate shall be removable, retained by a captive Phillips head screw. The loudspeaker network connection shall be made using a single CAT-5e or better Ethernet cable connection via an 8P8C, RJ-45 connector. The network loudspeaker shall be powered via PoE (802.3af) or PoE+ (802.3at), include an integrated amplifier with active output limiting, and shall receive Q-LAN formatted network audio. The network loudspeaker shall include internal Intrinsic Correction for optimal speaker voicing when paired with any Q-SYS Core processor. The network loudspeaker shall include an ID button for identifying the device within Q-SYS Designer Software and a reset button under the grille of the speaker for restoring the device to factory settings. The network loudspeaker shall include open-circuit and short-circuit detection with the ability to monitor these fault states remotely via the network connection. The loudspeaker shall be configurable via Q-SYS Designer Software. The network loudspeaker shall be the QSC NL-C4.
